If you want to lose weight or shed a few kilos, then Dr Paul recommends the “Miracle Soup Diet”. This diet should not be a long term diet but used as a kick starter and get you on the right track. Dr Paul says it’s not about dieting only, it’s about getting the right exercise and eating healthy clean foods that are high in fibre and low in calories.

6 large onions
2 green peppers
1 large head of cabbage
1 large bunch of celery
2 large cans or fresh tomatoes
- Cut vegetables in medium sized pieces.
- Cover with water & boil for 10 minutes.
- Season with dry onions or other herbs.
- Add a tablespoon of salt and 4 beef cubes.
- Simmer until vegetables are soft.
Day 1: Miracle Soup. All fruits except bananas.Water melons, honey dew have less calories than most fruits and eating melons only will help you lose 1.5kilos in the first week alone.
Day 2: Miracle Soup. Eat all the vegetables, raw or cooked, that you want but especially eat green leafy vegetables and stay away from vegies such as dry beans, peas and corn, as they are high in calories.
Day 3: Miracle Soup. Fruit and vegetables, same as Day 1 and 2 but no potato.
Day 4: Miracle Soup. Bananas and skim milk. Eat as many as eight bananas and as much skim milk as you want. Bananas and milk are high in calories and carbohydrates, but on this particular day your body will need these essential carbohydrates, proteins and calcium which will lessen any cravings for sweets.
Day 5: Miracle Soup. Beef and tomatoes. You may have 10-12 ounces of beef and six tomates. Try to drink at least eight glasses of water to wash away acids from your body.
Day 6: Miracle Soup. Beef, tomatoes, and vegetables but no potato.
Day 7: Miracle Soup. Brown rice, fruit juice (unsweetened) and vegetables.
Be sure to combine some form of exercise to help your body look tone and firm.
